A fundraiser has been set up to help Albany High School athlete Wesley Estridge continue to compete at area powerlifiting meets.

Dark heather gray t-shirts supporting Estridge are being sold for $20 each.

The shirts are short sleeved and have the Albany Lions logo on the front of the shirt with Estridge’s name, sponsors, and
“Train Insane or Remain the Same” on the back.

The order form is posted on the Albany Athletic Booster Club Facebook page or by contacting Blake or Val Estridge.

The shirts must be paid for when ordered, and all orders must be received by 12:00 noon on Friday, Feb. 12.

After Estridge’s last meet in Snyder on Thursday, Jan. 28, the senior was ranked first in district in the Super Heavy Weight division, which is any weight above 275 pounds. The powerlifter also is ranked first in Region 6 and second in the state.

While at the Snyder meet, Estridge  was able to squat 775 pounds, benched 405 pounds, and dead-lifted 500 pounds for a total of 1,680 pounds.

Estridge will next compete in Hawley on Feb. 18 and will then head to regional competition on March 11-12 in Alvord.
