Students to have Presidents Day off

The Albany Independent School District will be closed on Monday, Feb. 15 with a staff development day scheduled for faculty members. 

Classes will resume at the normal times on Tuesday, Feb. 16. 

Classes will release on Friday, March 12, and this year’s Spring Break for Albany ISD is set for March 15-19. 

Moran ISD

Moran ISD also will be observing the holiday and will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15. Classes will resume at their regular  times on Tuesday. 

City of Albany

The Albany city offices will be closed Monday in observance of President’s Day and will reopen on Tuesday at the regular time.

Local banks also will be closed due to the holiday, and will reopen on Tuesday for regular business hours.

Trash service will run as scheduled.  

County Library

The Shackelford County Library will be be closed on Monday, Feb. 15 for the Presidents Day holiday. 

The library will reopen Tuesday for its normal hours.
