Albany FFA students maintained a busy schedule last week with appearances at stock show sat San Angelo and San Antonio.

At San Angelo, Creed Spencer won his Dark Cross class during Wave 1 of the barrow show. Callan Edgar placed seventh with a Hampshire, while Paige Price and Colter Edgar made the top 15 of their Hamp shire classes. Tatum Grady also made the top15 with a Dark Cross.

Other participants were Spencer with a second place White Cross, Crew Spencer witha Hampshire and Emily Schedule with a White Cross.

InWave2, Colter Edgar was second with his Duroc, Callan Edgar was third with her Yorkshire, and Paige Price was 10th in the LOPB (Chester/Landrace) judging.

Others exhibiting barrows were Tatum Grady (Duroc) and Cooper Edgar (LOPB).

Also at San Angelo, Madison Swert and Tanner Swert exhibited commercial breeding rabbits.

At San Antonio, five Albany entries came away with top-five placings, and three barrows made the sale.

In the heifer show, Myleigh Leveridge was second with her Short horn, Madailein Beard was fifth with her Polled Hereford, and Bradee Stautzenberger was 11th with her Chianina.

In Wave 1 of the barrow show, Crew Spencer was second with a Poland China, while Slayton Parsons (Duroc) and Creed Spencer (Crossbred) both placed fifth. The three hogs all made the sale.

Also in Wave 1, Emily Schedule made the top 13 in her class with a Cross and Connor Smith made the top 16 with a Poland China. Other participants were Luke Smith with a Hampshire and Ryan Turner with a Cross.

Harper Hargett was the first Albany participant to enter the show ring at San Antonio, exhibiting her wether goat.
