Stock Show Assn. to meet

The Shackelford Youth and Livestock Association annual meeting is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 9 at the Albany High School Ag Building.

The meeting will include discussion of this year’s county livestock show and proposed rule changes.

“We will review the finances of the show for the year and present that to the Association,” board member Mike Parsons said. “Then we will elect two directors.”

Once the director election is concluded, directors will meet to elect officers for the next year.

Association members will be allowed to propose rule or schedule changes to the show. Officers and directors will vote on any proposals.

“This is the opportunity for Association members to come and present any changes they’d like to see in the show or sale, or in any of the operations or rules,” Parsons said.
