Steagall show to air next Monday

Red Steagall will tell viewers about the Fort Griffin Fandangle on the RFD TV show “Red Steagall is Somewhere West of Wall Street” at 8:30 p.m. (Central) on Monday, May 13.

Steagall filmed the segment in Albany at the Old Jail Art Center on Oct. 31.

“We had planned to go out to the Fandangle grounds and pull out the stagecoach and a few other props,” said former Fandangle Association president Steve Waller. “But when Steagall was here, the rain was pouring down so hard there was no way that we could film outside. We went to the Old Jail instead, and they filmed the interviews in the archives building.”

Steagall watched Making a Difference, the video about Robert E. Nail and the Fort Griffin Fandangle before he started taping the episode.

“Red began by talking about the history of the Fandangle and how it started as a high school play,” said long-time Fandangle cast member Clifford Teinert. “Then he interviewed me and Steve Waller.”

The season #6, episode 19 show about the Fandangle will be rebroadcast by RFD TV on Tuesday, May 14 at 12:30 a.m., and at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 19.
