Softball signup date extended

Late registrations are still being accepted for girls who want to play in the Albany Girls Softball Association, but this Friday, Jan. 25 is the final deadline, according to Beth Roysdon.

“Even though they were due Monday, we will still accept registration forms up until Friday,” said Roysdon. “Please get those turned in!”

Forms can be turned in to the school, or applicants can contact Roysdon at 325-721-9023.

Registration fees are $35 for the first player in a family, and $20 more for each additional sibling.

Age levels include under-6, under-8, under-10, under-12, and under-14 as of Jan. 1. Games will be played in Albany and Breckenridge.

Help is still needed for some of the age groups.

A fundraiser meal has been scheduled at First Baptist Church at 12:00 noon on Sunday, Feb. 10. A donation of $8 buys a baked potato and fixings, dessert, and a drink. 

“Proceeds go to our equipment funds and toward scholarships,” said Roysdon. “To-go plates will be available.”
