Several important dates are coming up in the near future for FFA and 4-H youth.

Members of the Albany FFA are currently selling meat, cookies, and fruit as a fundraiser for the local FFA chapter.

The sale will end on Nov. 22, and the items will be delivered in early December.

To purchase the items, contact any FFA member.

FFA Dues

FFA members need to pay their $20 dues by Friday, Nov. 1.

Junior FFA membership dues are $10 and should be paid before Dec. 1.

Show Registration

All 4-H and FFA youth who plan to exhibit an animal at any of the major stock shows or the county show this season need to make sure that they have turned in their registration information to Albany ag instructor Chris Beard by Friday, Nov. 8.

“All major and county stock show entries are due at this time,” said Beard. “This will allow me time to process the entries and turn them in before the Thanksgiving holidays.”

Swine Validation

Swine validation for all county and major stock shows will be done on Nov. 18 and 19.

Beard will contact parents to arrange a time to come to their facility and validate their child’s swine on one of those two days.
