Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar released September state sales tax revenue amounts for counties across the state of Texas, including Shackelford County.

The City of Albany will receive a sales tax allotment of $34,785 from the state this month. The amount is down 8.14 percent from the $37,868 payment received this time last year.

Payments to date for the 2020 year to the City of Albany are $348,177 down by 15.84 percent from the comparable time last year, when payments of $413,711 had been made.

The City of Moran will receive a net payment of $1,923 this period for a 28.74 percent increase from the $1,493 received in September 2019.

Payments to date for the 2020 year to the City of Moran are $16,934 up 32.06 percent from the comparable time in 2019 when payments of $14,845 had been made.

Over the entire state of Texas, tax allocations are down 4.5 percent from the September 2019 net payment.

Allocations are based on sales made in July by businesses that report monthly tax.
