Senior lunches still on hold

Shackelford County Resource Center’s senior day lunches normally would start in September after taking a break for the summer months.

However, Resource Care staff members have announced they will not be hosting the monthly Friday meals until the COVID-19 situation has improved, according to program director Mindy Ary.

Ary said that Resource Care’s medical director feels that the risk is still too great with the present resurgence of the virus.

In the past, Shackelford County senior adults were invited to the Youth Center once a month for a free themed lunch, games, and fellowship.
