Send-off set this afternoon

Having a Thursday game has moved up the schedule for both the Albany Lions and the Albany Athletic Booster Club.

The Lions will take on the Muenster Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17 (tonight) at Graham’s Newton Field in the area round of the Class 2A Division II playoffs.

Because of that, the community pep rally was held Wednesday, Nov. 16 at Bank Park.

Spirit Drum

Beating of the spirit drum began Wednesday following the pep rally.

In the event of a playoff game next week, see the Booster Club Facebook page to sign up for a spot.

Playoff T-shirts

Booster Club member Amanda Tabor said all playoff T-shirt orders have been delivered, but other items are still available.

“We do have toboggans and headbands to keep people warm, so we may bring some winter clothes out to sell,” Tabor said.

Send-Off

The traditional playoff send-off is set for 3:15 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Bank Park.

Lion fans are encouraged to gather outside their businesses or along Albany’s Main Street anywhere from the downtown street light toward Breckenridge on Hwy. 180.

Tickets for tonight’s game are only available online. To purchase tickets, visit www.grahamisd.com and click on “Tickets” in the upper right-hand corner.

All tickets are $5 whether for adults or students.

Coaches, district, senior citizens, and military passes will be honored.

Albany will be the home team with fans sitting on the press box side of the stadium.
