New and ongoing recipients of Albany ISD Education Foundation scholarships need to provide proof of enrollment in order to receive their benefit for the fall 2019 semester.

New 2019 graduate recipients need proof of enrollment and the letter that was in the scholarship envelope they received graduation night.

This is the 10th year for the Foundation scholarships, with an additional $20,000 in awards given this spring.

Funds come from the Albany ISD Education Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, to which anyone may donate. The main source of funding has been proceeds from a 10-year agreement with the wind farms within the school district, but those agreements will be expiring soon.

The scholarships have been presented to a total of 250 Albany High School graduates over the past 10 years, some of them receiving the awards for multiple years, provided they are full-time students in an eligible institution.
