Scholarship packets to be ready April 20

Representatives of local organizations and boards that award scholarships to Albany High School graduates are asked to collect applications from Ann Riley at the AHS office on Wednesday, April 20.

The original schedule was to hand those out on Friday, April 15, but the school offices will be closed both Friday and Monday for a long Easter weekend.

Riley said seniors were required to turn in their application letters by Wednesday, April 13.

The packets of letters will be organized and ready for representatives of the organizations to pick up by 12:00 noon on April 20, and then the organizations should notify the school concerning their selections by Monday, April 25, if at all possible.

“Scholarship selections need to be in my office by the end of the month,” said Riley. “Please get the names of the students chosen for the awards back to the high school office by then. If it would help, the organization’s representative can send the information to my email account.”
