Albany’s Xi Chi Pi Sorority will hold its third annual scholarship golf scramble Saturday, Oct. 1, at Albany Golf Course.

Organizer Lauren Peacock said the event raises funds for scholarships for Albany High School graduates.

“We give scholarships to graduating seniors every year,” Peacock said. “It can be anywhere from two to three scholarships. We always like to give as much as we’re able to, and that wouldn’t be possible without all the support from our community.”

Entry fee for the three-person 18-hole scramble is $150 per team. The field will be limited to 18 teams.

In addition to a payout to the top three places, door prizes and raffle prizes will be offered, and a fish fry will be served.

“We’ve got great sponsors and people who donate door prizes and raffle prizes,” Peacock said. “We just try to raise as much as possible to give back to the kids.”

To enter, contact Peacock at 325-762-6253.
