SCAD board okays budget
With no one from the public present to speak at eitheroftworequiredpublic hearings, the board of directors for the Shackelford County Appraisal District (SCAD) approved the 2025 budget and the the 20252026 Reappraisal Plan on unanimous votes during a Sept. 13 meeting.
The $463,615 budget is 3.9 percent more than last year’s original budget, primarily because of salaries.
