Only a few tickets remained as of Tuesday for a concert by the Austin-based band “Reckless Kelly” at the Aztec Theater on Saturday, Nov. 5.

Doors for the show will open at 7:00 p.m., with the performance starting at 8:00 p.m.

The show is sponsored by Albany Live, a local non-profit dedicated to bringing musical performances to the Aztec.

Tickets can be purchased on the website albanylive.org. Only general admission tickets remain at a cost of $50 each.

“There were about 30 general admission tickets left earlier this week,” organizer Trey Davis said. “Sales have been picking up daily, so I’m thinking that we will sell out before the door opens on Saturday.”

All reserved seats and VIP add-on passes are sold out.

The band was founded 20 years ago and has released a number of singles and albums. The newest album, Sunset Motel, was self-produced and recorded at Austin’s Arlyn Studios.

“We are at the point where we’re not content to be categorized as simply a party band anymore,” Willy Braun said. “We would like folks to really hear these songs, to be able to hear the lyrics and appreciate the musicianship that goes into the arrangements.”

The group has had Grammy-nominated and Grammy-winning albums over the last two decades.

Albany Live Info

Albany Live is dedicated to bringing musical performances to the Aztec on a regular basis, with their first series earlier this year focusing on singer/songwriters.

“We are really hoping to keep these concerts going,” Davis said. “We think it can be really beneficial for Abany.”
