Registration underway for local leagues

Registration is ongoing for the upcoming youth baseball and softball seasons season with information available at Nancy Smith Elementary School.

Albany Little League

Albany Little League organizer Paul Hamilton said the baseball program is shifting to online registration this year, but information on how to register will be available through the school.

Registration deadline for Little League Majors and Minors, Intermediate, and Junior leagues will be Feb. 11.

Competition is also offered in T-Ball and Coach Pitch age groups.

Registration fees are $50 for T-Ball and Coach Pitch, $75 for Majors and Minors, and $85 for Intermediate and Juniors. Scholarships are available.

Families having three or more children participating will receive a discount starting with the third child.

All age groups are co-ed.

Softball Association

Registration fee for the Albany Softball Association is $50. Families with more than one child participating will pay $25 for each additional child.

Registration deadline is Feb. 2.

The ASA offers competition from six and under through 14 years of age.
