About 125 tickets remain available for the Radney Foster concert set for Friday, April 29 at the Aztec Theater, with doors opening at 7:00 p.m. for the 8:00 p.m. show.

The performance is sponsored by Albany Live, a nonprofit organized last year to bring live musical events to Albany. Foster’s show is the fourth in an ongoing singer/songwriter series that will wrap up in June.

“We still have plenty of seats available,” Trey Davis said Tuesday. “People can buy tickets on the website, and any that are left will be available at the door.”

To purchase online, go to the group’s website: www.albanylive.org. Prices are $50 for general admission and $75 for reserved seating in the front two rows.

“There are still a handful of the reserved seats available up front,” Davis said. “But we only have 10 of the VIP add-ons left for after the show.”

All ticket holders can upgrade their experience by purchasing a $50 VIP add-on which entitles those ticket holders to attend a reception with the singer after the concert in the Aztec’s community room. The VIP experience also includes drinks and snack foods while meeting the artist.

There are 286 seats in the Aztec’s auditorium, with the front two rows of each show sold as reserved seating and the remaining available as general admission.

“Albany people are used to buying tickets at the door, and it looks like there will be some available for this concert,” Davis said. “But ticket sales will end once the show starts at 8:00 p.m.”

The series is aimed at providing live musical performances for Albany and the surrounding area.

“We are really hoping to get this going for the Aztec and for Albany,” he said. “We think this can be really good for the downtown stores and restaurants, so we are coordinating with them. We hope they will stay open longer prior to each concert to give people a chance to shop locally.”

Organizers are hoping that the success of the initial series will set the stage for more concerts in the feature.

“We are hoping that this series will enable us to bring in even bigger performers in the next series,” he said.

Memberships or patron packages for an entire series are also available, providing season tickets for all concerts, as well as recognition in promoting shows and access to the VIP lounge that includes refreshments.

“Currently we have 66 patrons who purchased season passes and preferred seating to all performances,” Davis said. “Those patron tickets also include access to the VIP Lounge.”

The final concert of the series is set for Saturday, June 11 when the rescheduled show for Chris Knight will be on stage. Knight was originally set for a show a couple of months ago, but winter weather required it to be rescheduled.

“Everyone who had tickets already has seats still reserved for the show in June,” Davis said. “And we only have about 60 tickets remaining, so anyone interested needs to get their tickets now.”

Radney Foster is an American country music singer-songwriter, musician, and music producer. Initially a songwriter in Nashville, Tennessee, Foster made his recording debut as part of the Foster & Lloyd duo, recording three studio albums and with nine singles on the country charts.
