The Albany Study Club will hold its annual Quilt Show during the Fort Griffin Fandangle with a hand-pieced quilt being raffled to raise funds for scholarships given by the club.

The Quilt Show will be held the two Fridays and Saturdays during Fandangle, June 17-18 and 24-25, at the Whitney Theatre.

The show is free to the public and will be open from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

To include a quilt in the show, whether it’s personally made, purchased, or vintage, exhibitors can place each one in a plastic bag with a completed information card at Shackelford County Library. Information cards are available at the library.

Submissions will be accepted Wednesday, June 1 through Friday, June 10.

This year’s raffle quilt was started by a Ruidoso, New Mexico friend of Study Club member Leta Bell. Bell finished the quilt after the friend died before completing it.

The quilt is on display at Shackelford County Library.

Raffle tickets, which help fund scholarships, may be purchased from any Study Club member or at Shackelford County Library. Tickets are $5 for one or $20 for five.

For more information about the show or raffle, contact Tammy Glover at 325-668-5017.
