Project Graduation letters being mailed

Albany’s Project Graduation is soliciting donations from local businesses and community members to help with this year’s graduation party.

Co-organizer Tisha Wilkins said more than 300 letters will be sent out seeking contributions.

“I’m hoping to have those out by the end of the week,” Wilkins said. “We’re starting our campaign of asking anyone who hasn’t been able to help with our fundraisers or who wants to help in addition to that.”

Wilkins said contributions do not need to be financial.

“Anything you can donate is appreciated,” she said. “Gift cards or items for door prizes will be welcome as well.”

Wilkins added that the campaign is not limited to those who receive letters.
