The Feed Store student council will make another attempt at staging its Powder Puff football game after last week’s effort was rained out.

Feed Store director Tisha Wilkins said the event is now planned for 2:00 p.m. this coming Sunday, May 1 at Robert Nail Memorial Stadium.

“Everything is the same with the exact same time; we’ve just changed the dates,” Wilkins said. “We were very thankful for the rain we got last Sunday, though.”

The senior and  sophomore girls, coached by senior boys, will play the junior and freshman girls, coached by junior boys. Sophomore and freshman boys will serve as cheerleaders.

Wilkins said water will be provided, but the concession stand will not be open.

Wilkins said the game will employ rules similar to flag football and 7-on-7. One rule change made for the game is players will be penalized for failing to celebrate a touchdown.

Wilkins also announced The Feed Store will hold its annual Junior-Senior Day on Thursday, May 5. For further details, contact The Feed Store.
