Playoff plans start with pep rally

The Albany Athletic Booster Club is in playoff mode with activities planned for each week the Albany Lions advance in the Class 2A Division II football playoffs.

The Lions play the Eldorado Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, in a bi-district game at the Mustang Bowl in Sweetwater.

Spirit Drum

Beating of the spirit drum will begin Thursday, Nov. 10 (tonight) in advance of the Lions’ bi-district game.

To sign up to beat the drum, contact Booster Club member Amanda Tabor.

Playoff T-shirts

Playoff T-shirt orders were finalized Sunday, Nov. 6.

Details for time and location for pickup of T-shirts will be posted on the Albany Athletic Booster Club Facebook page.

Tabor said no extra shirts were ordered this year.

Pep Rally

A community pep rally will be held at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Bank Park.

Pep rallies will continue in the same location for each week the Lions remain in the playoffs.

Send-Off

The traditional playoff send-off is set for 3:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11 at the Bank Park.

Ticket Info

Tickets for Friday’s game are available only at the gate.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students. Albany will sit on the home side.

Coaches Association, district, and senior citizens passes will be honored.
