A variety of pets were marched around at the Bank Park Saturday during the annual Fandangle Pet Parade.

Winners were named in four categories, with each receiving $25 in Albany Bucks to be spent at local participating stores.

“We had a good turnout,” coordinator Lacy Cook said. “I think it helps that we moved the parade to the morning last year.”

While the number of participants was down from pre-COVID events, Cook said that she was pleased with the response.

“We were so glad that people came out, and we are already planning changes for next year such as adding more categories,” she said.

Winning Best Costume was a pony ridden by Emme Graham and led by Slayton Parsons.

Lulu the dachshund, owned by Maggie Mae Spraberry, was voted Most Creative.

Madison Swert held her entry Cuddles the Guinea Pig, who was named Most Unique.

Best Fandangle Costume was won by Dally the Jack Russell who was dressed as a can can girl. She was entered by Tara Cauble.

Cook thanked announcer Pam Davis, along with judges Debra Boyett, Kirstin Hilliard, and Alli Graham.
