Pederson, Lapp named MHS prom king, queen

The Moran High School Prom was held Saturday, May 18, at the new Moran ISD Event Center. 

This was the first time for the prom to take place at the new venue.

Summer Pederson was chosen as Prom Queen and Kobee Lapp was crowned Prom King.

Summer Pederson has attended school in Moran for 10 years.  

The senior is a member of the Lady Bulldog volleyball, basketball, and track teams. The Prom Queen is also a MISD cheerleader.  

She plans to major in early childhood education.

Pederson is the daughter of Lisa and Eric Pederson of Cisco.

Prom King

Kobee Lapp attended Moran both his junior and senior years of high school.  

He participated in football, basketball, track, and tennis as a varsity Bulldog, and qualified for state in triple jump by earning first at the regional meet.

Lapp placed fourth at the state track and field meet earlier this month.

The Prom King plans to attend Oklahoma Baptist University and major in accounting, nursing, or coaching.

Lapp is the son of Heather Hill.
