Pat Green to headline CareFest

The fifth annual CareFest announced this week that Pat Green and Kevin Fowler will headline the one-day music festival set for Saturday, Aug. 26.

The event will again be held at Happy Life, Happy Wife Weddings and Events Venue on FM 1084. Gates will open at 4:00 p.m.

This year’s acts also include Della Rose, Cooder Graw, Cory Morrow, Mike McClure, and Cody Canada and the Departed, along with Kevin Fowler and Pat Green on two stages.

Tickets are now on sale at www.outhousetickets.com, which has a link on the festival’s new website www.resourcecarefest.com.

VIP tickets will only be available to event sponsors. More information about sponsoring is also on the website.

The artists will hold 30-minute meet-and-greets for the VIP ticket holders only. Photos will also be available.

Ticket types include: Advance Preferred Limited – $75, Advance General Admission – $50, Advance Parking passes – $15, Advance cooler pass – $15, and Advance canopy space – $200.

CareFest is an annual fund­raiser for Resource Care’s outreach programs benefitting patients in six communities around the Big Country.

All proceeds serve the communities through programs such as Vittles by Vehicle, ­ASPIRE (an after-school program located in six school districts), Day Camp (a three week camp for children ages 3 years to sixth grade with over 60 junior high and high school students working as Day Camp employees or volunteers), Senior Citizens Day, Christmas for Teens, Toys for Tots, Christmas for the Senior Citizens, Back to School Supplies, and the Emergency Assistant Program that helps those who are struggling financially.
