Albany exhibitors wrapped up participation at the Fort Worth Stock Show last week, as well as getting started at the San Angelo and San Antonio stock shows.

At Fort Worth, Chelsy Parsons had the champion lightweight division crossbred barrow after placing first in her class.

Slayton Parsons placed second in the Yorkshire class, Leddie Leech took third in white OPB and Creed Spencer had a sixth                    place crossbreed.

Also exhibiting barrows were Callan Edgar and Tatum Grady.

In the steer show, Hattie Braly made the sale after finishing sixth with a European crossbreed. Gracie Price and Kenzie Neve also exhibited steers.

At San Angelo, Ayden Balliew won first place in the Wildlife Division of the Ag Mechanics contest with his high rack. Last month, Balliew earned a blue ribbon at the Fort Worth Stock Show with the project.

Judging for goat and lambs was held at San Angelo with a handful of local contestants. Exhibiting goats were Willa Early, Lyla Early, Paxton Slaughter, Kayden Smith, and Harper Hargett. The Earlys also exhibited Dorper lambs.

Several local students were exhibiting at San Antonio this week as well, with those results to be published next week.
