The start of the 2020-2021 school year is just two months away, and many families are anxiously waiting to get their kids registered for the upcoming school year.

Albany Independent School District will soon post an online link to register for current families for the whole district.

Nancy Smith Elementary School principal John Gallagher said the online registration forms are being updated to include areas that will apply to all grade levels.

“New codes have had to be written to include things such as physicals for UIL activities,” Gallagher said.

Gallagher added that the school supply lists for 2020-2021 year will be published in the next few weeks as well.

“We will post the supply lists online and on Bloomz, and send them to Target and Wal-mart,” Gallagher said.

Pre-K and new student registration for the elementary school will still be on Wednesday, Aug. 5 at NSES.

New student registration for junior and senior high students will be held this summer, but the date is to be determined at a later time.

Parents with registration questions can contact the staff at NSES at 325-762-3384 or AJSH at 325-762-3974.

AISD summer office hours are Monday to Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
