The Old Jail Art Center is hosting a Family Festival “Critter Corral” this Saturday afternoon, with everyone invited to attend the free event and encouraged to visit the other exhibits on display at the museum.

The museum is located one block east of the Courthouse and does not charge admission.

The come-and-go family festival will start at 12:00 p.m. and end at 3:00 p.m.

Museum staff and volunteers will help participants with free crafts, games, refreshments, and music.

“This year, we are highlighting the animals seen in the Fandangle performance,” staff member Jewellee Kuenstler said. “All our activities are themed around animals, with crafts to include rattlesnake pencil toppers, armadillo armbands, buffalo puppets, and prairie dog pop-up cups.”

Kuenstler added that the scavenger hunt, arts and crafts, and refreshments are all free to the public.

“We will also have something called the Wee Critter Corner,” Kuenstler said. “There will be activities available for children ages two through four.”

Everyone is encouraged to come to the event and tour the museum.

During Fandangle days, the museum is open from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
