The Nancy Smith Elementary School annual field day will be held on Monday, May 24, at Webb City Park.

The day of fun and games will be set up for preschool through sixth grade students to enjoy.

Starting at 9:00 a.m., students will be bused to the park, and activities will start afterward.

Competitions will include sack races, hurdles, tug-of-war, water kickball, and water relay.

Students will participate in field events and games only this year as the event is taking place at the park rather than the high school track.

Parents and family members are invited to attend and participate in the day, and may take their child home from the park after the event.

There will be no early dismissal that day, and students will be released from the elementary school campus at the regular times.

End of Year Activities

On Thursday, May 20, the sixth graders will tour the Perot Museum.

Fourth graders have a local field trip planned Friday if weather permits.

The awards assembly for first through fifth grade students will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26 in the elementary cafeteria.

On Thursday, May 27 at 9:00 a.m., the sixth graders will have their ‘End of Year’ ceremony with presentation of awards, a slide show, and running the halls.

Early release days at 12:30 p.m. are scheduled for NSES students on May 25-27.
