Albany school students and staff members will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. next Tuesday, Nov. 23 for the Thanksgiving holidays.

Students at Nancy Smith Elementary and Albany Jr./Sr. High will  all be dismissed early, with buses running about 12:35 p.m. Parents will need to pick up students or make other arrangements for the early release.

All students at the junior/senior high campus will follow a shortened schedule, with all eight class periods meeting for 25 minutes each.

Lunch is scheduled from 11:55 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. for both junior high and high school students. The cafeteria will serve a meal.

Students in grades 7-10 are required to stay until the 12:30 p.m. release time unless they are signed out by a parent in the office.

Juniors and seniors will be allowed to leave for lunch at 11:55 a.m. and are not required to return.

Seniors will not be in classes during the morning to complete the annual Fitness Gram required by the state.

The Thanksgiving holiday will continue on Wednesday, Nov. 24 through Friday, Nov. 26.

Classes will resume at the usual time on Monday, Nov. 29.
