Neighbors in Need will conduct a garage sale starting at 8:00 a.m. Saturday.

Lori Reames said the sale is to raise funds to purchase needed items.

“The proceeds will mainly go toward heaters at this time of the year for people who need them,” Reames said. “Everything’s going to be a quarter unless we have it marked at a different price.”

Reames announced a new contact number for Neighbors in Need and Closet Angels. To contact either ministry, call 325-762-0335.

“I’m hoping to keep everything on this one phone,” she said. “If I have to go somewhere, I can leave it with one of our volunteers.”

Reames said Neighbors in Need will accept donations during the sale for items such as medical supplies, fans, air conditioners, heaters, bed frames (no mattresses), working appliances, dressers or chests of drawers, and kitchen necessities. Other items may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

“We’ll look over what donors have if they want to bring it Saturday while we’re there,” she said. “I’d suggest that they come before lunch if they want to bring donations.”

Reames said she has limited space for vendors to set up during the sale.

“We’ll let people set up if they want to sell something while we have the traffic there,” she said.

Reames said anyone wanting to make a monetary donation may do so by depositing into the Closet Angels account at First National Bank. Checks should be made out to Closet Angels.
