Neighbors in Need will conduct a fundraising sale of items at its facility on Oct. 23.

Lori Reames said the sale will help clear space at the facility.

The sale is scheduled for 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

“Everything is 25 cents an item unless otherwise marked,” Reames said. “The funds will go to our general fund, which could be used for heaters and air conditioners or our new building.”

Reames said Neighbors in Need will accept donations during the sale for items such as medical supplies, fans, air conditioners, heaters, bed frames (no mattresses), working appliances, dressers or chests of drawers, and kitchen necessities. Other items may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

“We don’t want to go back to people dumping junk on us, but if they have things they think can be used, we can take those things,” Reames said. “Donations need to be in good condition.”

Closet Angels

Reames announced that Closet Angels will be open from 9:00 a.m. to noon this Saturday in addition to its regular hours of operation.

“This would be the opportunity for people to come in and get their fall and winter wear,” Reames said. “We’ll have the sea container open.”

Reames said bags of clothes may be had for a suggested $5 donation.

Closet Angels’ regular hours are noon to 6:00 p.m. on Mondays and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, except for school holidays.
