Two artists will be featured in the Old Jail Art Center’s new spring exhibitions, which open this weekend with a members’ preview and reception on Saturday.

The exhibitions include “Dreams of You” by Los Angeles-based, artist Luke Harnden and “Company Retreat” by Keer Tanchak of Dallas.

Both of the artists were in Albany during the past week installing their works, Tanchak’s as part of the ongoing Cell Series.

Harnden’s works include a “new body of intriguing paintings that build on the artist’s interest in the lively effects of the photographic image and the technical structure which supports those images,” according to OJAC executive director Pat Kelly.

“The OJAC’s jail cells are a prime and provocative venue for the interaction of Tanchak’s shaped paintings,” said Kelly.

The large sculpture entitled “Asche für Paul Celan” by Anselm Kiefer will continue to be on display until May 20, when all three current exhibitions will end.
