Albany’s Kenzie Neve has had a busy and successful spring and summer exhibiting steers across the state.

Neve first took her livestock projects into the show ring in April at the Purple Pursuit Tarleton State University Prospect Show at Stephenville. In Ring A, she came away with Reserve Champion Shorthorn, first place AOC and second place Charolais. In Ring B, she claimed Reserve Champion Shorthorn and Reserve Champion AOC along with second place Charolais.

In May, Neve traveled to Cameron for the 24th Annual Milam County Weekend Blowout. In Ring A, she won Champion Shorthorn and Reserve Champion Charolais. In Ring B, she exhibited the Grand Champion Steer, Champion Shorthorn, and Champion Charolais.

In June, Neve attended the North Texas Summer Showdown at McKinney. She claimed first place AOC and second place British in both Ring A and Ring B.

Neve wrapped up her summer in July at the Battle of the Cattle Show Steer Fiesta at Kerrville, showing first place Paint and third place Shorthorn. She was also a showmanship finalist at the event.

Neve will continue her busy schedule in August and September. She is entered in the North Texas Fair and Rodeo, which runs Friday, Aug. 19 through Saturday, Aug. 27 at Denton. That will be followed by the West Texas Fair and Rodeo Thursday, Sept. 8 through Saturday,  Sept. 17 at Abilene, and the Jones County Fair on Saturday, Sept. 24 at Anson.
