The ResourceCare Community Health Center will hold a Murder Mystery Dinner fundraising event at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 22.

A “Roaring 20s Murder Mystery Dinner” will be performed by the Albany Mainstreet Playhouse Traveling Troupe with attendees encouraged to wear “Roaring 20s” attire.

The event will take place at the Albany Youth Center, which has been transformed into the “Gatsby Speakeasy,” an undercover tavern.

ResourceCare programs assistant Ragan Riley said the game will be explained to the guests when they arrive.

“Everything the audience sees and hears could be a clue to solving the mystery,” said Riley. “Paying attention is necessary if you want to win.”

Troupe members performing for the show include Sandy Abel, Lorna Ayers, Jacob Cleveland, Jeff Davis, Pam Davis, Wade Jones, Ragan Riley, and Cali Rose.

Tickets for the fundraiser are $60 each and include admission to the event, an enchilada dinner with sides, dessert, unlimited chips and hot sauce, and three beverage tickets.

Additional drink tickets may be purchased and tea and water will be provided.

“Big groups are encouraged to attend,” said Riley. “It’s always more fun when you are with friends.”

All proceeds from ticket sales will go to fund the Vittles by Vehicle program which provides three meals a week to 40 senior citizens in Albany.

The deadline for purchasing tickets is Friday, April 16.

Tickets may be ordered by contacting Riley via email at rriley@resourcecare.org or by phone at 214-663-3271, or by calling Mindy Ary at 254-459-8785.
