Murder Mystery to be presented

Members of the Albany Mainstreet Playhouse will host a high school reunion themed murder mystery dinner in the reception room and patio (weather permitting) of the Aztec Theater at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 16 and Oct. 18.

“Come wearing your school memorabilia,” AMP representative Lorna Ayers said. “Wear your letter jackets, cheerleading uniform, or something from the corresponding time period. We know you can still fit into them!”

Tickets to the event are $50 each and include a meal of beef tenderloin with all the fixings, dessert, two glasses of wine, and interactive entertainment.

“Guests will be actively involved in discovering the murderer by directly interacting with all the guilty and not guilty parties,” Ayers said. “Who done it? That’s for you to find out!”

AMP put on their first murder mystery dinner theater last year, and the tickets quickly sold out.

“We are doing a murder mystery again this year,” said Ayers. “But we have expanded to two nights.”

The menu will be the same on both Tuesday and Thursday, according to Ayers, but people don’t need to worry that the who-done-it will have lost its intrigue by the second show.

“It will be the same menu, but a different mystery on Thursday,” Ayers said. “It is reserved seating. But as long as we still have tickets available, we will accept reservations as late as the day of the show.”

Reservations can be made by calling 214-663-3271.
