Moran Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 30 at the Moran city park.

Department member TylerGeorgesaidtheevent requireshelpfromallparts of the community.

“We get some local donations,” he said. “Some of it comes out of the fire department, but a lot of it happens because we have churches and others that donate.”

Eggs will be hidden for three age groups from preschool to elementary and older.

“We usually do somewhere around 3,000 or 4,000 eggs,” George said. “We stuff them beforehand to get them ready and everybody volunteers their time. First Financial Bank usually donates some $1 coins to put in them.”

In conjunction with the egg hunt, First Baptist Church of Moran will conduct a bake sale to benefit the church’s youth department starting at 10:00 a.m.

“They will probably have pies, cakes, caramel corn, cake balls, cookies, and cupcakes,” Jo Hise said. “There will be both single items and larger baked goods.”
