Students at Moran Independent School District will begin the 2020-2021 school year on Monday, Aug. 24.

MISD superintendent Danny Freeman said the projected enrollment is  112 for this year.

Parents and guardians of Moran ISD students are asked to complete a  “return to school” survey by Monday, July 27.

“The survey will help the district determine the mode of instruction we will use in the upcoming academic school year,” Freeman said.

The survey can be found on the Moran ISD website, www.moran.esc14.net.

For students who still need to register for the school year, forms can be picked up at the school office, or parents can call the office with questions at 325-945-3101.

MISD will continue to provide all students with school supplies and with breakfast and lunch for the 2020-2021 school year.

“The district will also furnish students with laptops this year,” Freeman said. “We’re not sure what grade we will start with at the elementary level, but the laptops will be provided up to 12th grade.”

Freeman said two-a-days for football and volleyball will start on Aug. 3 at 7:30 a.m.

MISD is also in search of an elementary teacher for the upcoming school year.

Resumes for potential applicants can be e-mailed to dfreeman@moran.esc14.net, faxed to 325-945-2741, or dropped off at the school office.
