Moran High School’s one-act play cast and crew will perform its fall show at 5:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at the school auditorium.

The troupe will perform “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon,” a mashup of several Brother Grimm tales.

Tickets for the performance are $5 at the door.

“This is to get a little more experience under our belts because this is just our second year with the program,” Moran teacher and director Bryce Hughes said. “It’ll give us more experience and the ability to perform in front of an audience. The kids have had so much fun doing it, and I love doing it so much.”

FFA Fundraiser

Plenty of tickets are still available for the Moran FFA fundraising dinner scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14 at the Moran Events Center.

Moran graduate Jeff Martin and Ben Hatton will perform during the evening.

Tickets are $25 apiece and may be purchased from FFA officers or FFA adviser Minnie Denson.

Proceeds will help students purchase FFA jackets to wear for official events.

New Door

Recent improvements to the Moran ISD campus including installation of a new entrance on the agriculture building. Moran superintendent Dr. John Denson said the project cost the district about $4,000.

“It had been put off for years, and the old door wouldn’t close properly,” he said. “With all the new rules about school safety – doors especially – we had to get it fixed. The new door had to be custom made, but now we have a secure entrance.”
