The 2020-2021 school year is underway for Moran ISD teachers and administrators.

Staff development days started on Monday and will continue through Friday, Aug. 14, and again next week, Aug. 17-21.

MISD superintendent Danny Freeman said that school personnel are getting training, preparing lesson plans, and getting classrooms ready for students to arrive on Monday, Aug. 24.

Freeman reported the district is expecting 110 students this year, with most planning to attend in-person instruction, and a few who have opted for distant learning from home.

“We hope to hold Meet the Bulldogs and Meet the Teacher together as one event before school starts,” Freeman said. “There will be a meeting to discuss plans about the event soon.”

MISD students will attend school Monday through Friday this year, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Freeman said there will not be optional/required fifth days this year.
