Moran classes to resume Dec. 2

Moran Independent School District is off this week for the Thanksgiving holiday, and school will resume at the normal time on Monday, Dec. 2.

MISD’s annual Thanksgiving Meal took place on Friday, Nov. 22, with a traditional meal of turkey, ham, dressing, green bean casserole, broccoli and cheese casserole, giblet gravy, rolls, cranberry sauce, and cobbler, served to students and their family members.

Liz Walls and her seventh grade art class took advantage of nice weather last week to go outside and hydro dip various items including phone cases, cups, and a turtle shell.

School Schedule

Friday, Dec. 13 is an optional/required fifth day.

The third grading period ends on Friday, Dec. 20.

The next holiday on the school calendar is Christmas. Students will be off for the winter break from Monday, Dec. 23 through Friday, Jan. 3.

Staff members have a comp day on Friday, Jan. 3.

The fourth grading period runs from Monday, Jan. 6 through Thursday, Feb. 13. 

Friday, Jan. 17, and Friday, Feb. 14 are optional/required fifth days.

A school holiday is planned for Martin Luther King Day, Monday, Jan. 20.
