The 13th annual Christmas Feast will be held Saturday, Dec. 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Matthews Memorial Presbyterian Church’s Fellowship Hall.

Tamara Trail, one of the event organizers, said there is no charge for the meal, and anyone is welcome to receive food.

“It’s intended to provide  Christmas Day fellowship for those who may not have family in town this year,” Trail said. “It’s an opportunity to let people know how much the Lord loves them and to celebrate this day and not be alone.”

This year’s menu will include ham, turkey, green beans, mashed potatoes, rolls, gravy, and homemade desserts.

A project of the missions and evangelism team of the church, the event began as a result of the group’s involvement in Vittles by Vehicles, which does not deliver on Christmas Day.

This year, meals will be available for dine-in or pickup with limited deliveries to shut-ins and those unable to come to the church.

“It’s a local ministry effort of Matthews Memorial Presbyterian,” Trail said. “We do deliveries for those who are homebound and run the Vittles route on Christmas Day.”

To arrange for delivery, call Sandy Ingalls at MMPC, 325-762-2038.
