Volleyball two-a-days at Moran ISD are scheduled to start on Aug. 1.

“Dakota Fowler is coaching volleyball this year,” said MISD staff member Jo Hise. “The varsity girls will have their first scrimmage on Aug. 3, in Rotan. And it looks like we will have six middle school girls willing to play, and be able to field a junior high volleyball team this year.”

Football two-a-days at Moran High School are scheduled to start on Aug. 6.

“The players will work with our assistant coach, Matthew Hise,” said MISD administrative assistant Jeannie TenCate. “Hopefully we will have a new head coach by then.”

The Bulldogs advanced to the playoffs in District 11-A, Division II six-man football both of the last two seasons under former head coach Lee Lewis, who recently accepted a position at Breckenridge ISD.

Moran was moved to District 6-A for the 2018 season with Blackwell, Loraine, and Trent.

The high school boys and girls have participated in conditioning and strength training during the summer.
