MISD summer school starts

Moran ISD began conducting summer school classes Tuesday, June 7 for students in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Summer classes will continue 8:30-11:30 a.m. each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday through June 30.

Moran superintendent Dr. John Denson said students can make up attendance requirements as well as make academic progress.

Summer Hours

Moran school offices will be open 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday through July. School offices will be closed the first week of July for the Fourth of July holiday.

2022-23 School Year

Moran will hold teacher in-service Aug. 1. The first day of class will be Monday, Aug. 8.

Moran will employ a four-day class week for the coming school year.

Summer Workouts

Moran began summer conditioning workouts Monday, June 6.

Workout sessions will be 8:00-10:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday for six weeks in June and July. A break will be taken the first week of July, then workouts will resume Monday, July 11 and conclude Thursday, July 21.

Workouts are open to all seventh through 12th graders who plan to participate in athletics.
