MHS royalty crowned

Sondra O’Keefe and Corey Miller were crowned Homecoming Queen and King during halftime of the Moran and Three Way football game at Bulldog Stadium last Friday night, Oct. 2.

Others included in the homecoming court were queen nominees Dariann Hawley, Corley Hendricks, Baylee Orsak, and Tiffany Wade, and king candidate Bailey Hitch.

Also honored as royalty were princess Hannah Rogers, prince Zak Keith, duchess Alli Scott, duke Memphis McGough, lady-in-waiting Brooke Orsak, and paige Toby Eason.

Sondra O’Keefe

Sondra O’Keefe is a senior at Moran High School.

She has participated as a Bulldog cheerleader for six years and has run on the Moran track team every year of high school, including this year.

The homecoming queen has represented Moran as the MHS girls pole vaulting record holder her freshman year.

O’Keefe hopes to break her own record in the upcoming season.

She has attended school in Moran since third grade.

After high school, O’Keefe plans to attend Howard Payne University in Brownwood.

She intends to obtain a degree in English to become a college English professor and eventually travel overseas to teach English to young students.

O’Keefe is the daughter Miranda and Thomas O’Keefe.

Corey Miller

Senior Corey Miller was escorted on the field during halftime by his parents Linda and Warren Miller.

Miller has participated in tennis for three years, basketball for two years, cross country for one year, and football for one year.

He has also attended MISD since third grade.

Miller plans to attend Cisco College to complete his basic college courses.

The returning queen, November Meredith, and king, Harley Schafer, crowned the new king and queen.

Upcoming Event

Moran has a school holiday on Columbus Day, this coming Monday, Oct. 12.
