Meet the Teacher slated Aug. 15

Meet the Teacher will be held at both Nancy Smith Elementary and the junior/senior high campus on Tuesday, Aug. 15.

Students entering K-6 will be able to find out their teachers for the coming school year from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Students and parents are urged to meet with teachers at the secondary campus at 6:00 p.m. for an orientation meeting for all grade levels in the high school auditorium.

“We are inviting all parents to attend the meeting before going to meet individual teachers,” new secondary principal Ezra Chambers said. “There are things we will cover that will apply to everyone. Then parents and students can meet with teachers in their rooms.”

Chambers said that he will review student expectations, some policies and procedures, and the drop-off and pick-up locations for parents at the beginning and the end of each school day.

All secondary teachers will be on hand to meet with students and parents to answer any questions.

The principal added that students who have completed registration either online or in person can pick up their schedules starting at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

“They can come get their schedules beforehand so they can walk through where their classes are either during the day or during Meet the Teachers,” he said.
