The Old Jail Art Center has received a pledge from the Charles E. Jacobs Foundation to match up to $100,000 for the museum’s Annual Appeal fundraising effort.

The pledge is quadruple  that made by the foundation the last two years.

“Everything is going really well with the Annual Appeal and we appreciate all the people giving,” Susan Montgomery, OJAC’s membership and development coordinator, said. “And there’s still time to give.”

The Annual Appeal will continue through Jan. 15.  The OJAC’s biggest fundraising project each year, the Appeal helps cover operating expenses for the museum. Contributions allow the OJAC to continue allowing free admission and free education programs.

Montgomery said donations may be made in memory or in honor of someone.

Donations may be mailed to the Old Jail Art Center, 201 S. Second St., Albany, Texas 76430, made online by visiting ojac.org, or by phone at 325-762-2269.
