Local students graduate, make dean’s list

Andrew Brown

earns ASU degree

Angelo State University conferred 888 undergraduate and graduate degrees on 884 graduates, including Andrew Brown of Albany, during the 2021 spring commencement exercises on May 15 at the Junell Center/Stephens Arena in San Angelo, Texas.

Brown, who played soccer at ASU, earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. He is the son of Cory and Heather Brown of Albany.

Abbigale Beard finishes at TSU

Abbigale Beard earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Tarleton State University during the May 2021 commencement exercises. 

Beard graduated summa cum laude with a cumulative grade point average of 3.93. She also was listed on the President’s List with a 4.0 for the spring semester. 

She is a 2017 Albany High School graduate and the daughter of Chris and Susie Beard.

Tyler Beard named to TSU dean’s list

Tyler Beard of Albany was named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2021 semester at Tarleton. 

Tyler just completed his sophomore year, majoring in agribusiness. He is the son of Chris and Susie Beard and a 2020 graduate of Albany High School.
