Local churches make Easter plans

Albany churches are preparing for a busy Easster  week with services and special events planned.

Easter Sunday falls on April 9 this year.

Trinity Lutheran

Trinity Lutheran Church has a full slate of services starting with Maundy Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 6.

A Good Friday service is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 7.

On Easter Sunday, a sunrise service will be held at 7:00 a.m. at the Lutheran Cemetery.

Easter breakfast will be served at 9:30 a.m. at the church’s Fellowship Hall, followed by Easter Sunday service at 10:30 a.m.

An Easter egg hunt will be held after the service.

First Christian

First Christian Church will conduct its Maundy Thursday service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 6.

Everyone is welcome.

Ministerial Alliance

The Albany Ministerial Alliance is sponsoring an Easter Sonrise service at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, April 9 at Stasney’s Cook Ranch cook shack west of Albany.

The message will be delivered by Rev. Bob Heidecker of Albany Methodist Church.

Breakfast provided by Methodist Women will be served at 7:00 a.m.

Friendship Baptist

Friendship Baptist Church will observe the Flowering of the Cross during its worship service.

Sunday School will start at 9:50 a.m. with the main service to start at 10:55 a.m.

An Easter egg hunt will be held after the service.

MMPC

Matthews Memorial Presbyterian Church will conduct its worship service at 11:00 a.m.

An Easter egg hunt will be held after the service.
