Albany Chamber of Commerce members will be treated to a Crawfish Boil at the Depot Thursday (today) beginning at 6:00 p.m.

“All Chamber members are invited,” Chamber manager Brandi Lehew said. “This is an appreciation event for all current members.”

A check-in table will be set up in the parking lot at the Chamber office for anyone who wants to renew a membership or join.

The menu for the event will feature crawfish, fish, and all the fixings. Water will be provided.

Anyone signing up as a member or renewing at the event will automatically be signed up for drawings featuring Albany Bucks and Chamber coffee mugs.

“We will also enter any members who have already renewed in the drawings,” Lehew said.

Membership prices are $50 for a senior citizen or senior citizen family, $60 for an individual or a family, as well as $125, $150, or $175 for businesses based on the number of employees. Corporate memberships are $300.

There are also $35 membership for non-profit organizations.

“Everyone is welcome to come join us and sign up when they get here, or they can drop by before the event to obtain a membership,” Lehew said. “We will be set up to take cash, cards, or checks, and feel free to bring a friend who might want to join.”

Lehew stressed that the organization exists to promote Albany and Albany businesses.

Reservations are not required.

Lehew said that 200 pounds of crawfish have been ordered, and fried fish will also be provided along with traditional sides such as french fries and cole slaw.

“Toni’s will be providing some food items, and Happy Grill will be on hand to fry onion rings,” she said.

The Green Gypsy beverage trailer will provide iced tea and lemonade. The Icehouse is furnishing the condiments.

“We are really excited,” Lehew said. “The weather should be good, and everyone is welcome. There will be plenty of food.”
