Eight performers are set to hit the stage for CareFest 2022 on Saturday, Aug. 27 at Happy Wife Happy Life Wedding and Events venue.

CareFest is a fundraising event organized by ResourceCare. Proceeds benefit outreach programs.

Tickets are available at www.outhousetickets.com, with prices beginning at $55 for general admission. Preferred limited tickets are $125.

Canopy and VIP tickets have sold out, according to Ragan Riley, who is helping organize the event.

In addition to admission tickets, parking passes and cooler passes are $20.

A first-ever “Lunch on the Lawn” for CareFest is planned from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27 at the Bank Park.

Jeff Martin will play an acoustic show from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Food Trucks will be available for those wanting to purchase lunch.

Every $25 spent will have buyers entered into a drawing for two lifetime general admission tickets to CareFest.

Another way to enter the drawing is to shop at participating businesses all day Friday, Aug. 26 or on Saturday, Aug. 27 until 12.30 p.m.

Participating businesses include Blanton Caldwell, Sassifrass, Southern Comfort, Rustic Charm, Nostalgia, and Erline’s Specialty Shop in downtown Albany, and online at borderlinehippie.com.

Businesses will give shoppers a card to fill out to take to the Bank Park for the drawing.

Food trucks will continue serving food after gates open for CareFest until food runs out.

The gate opens at 3:00 p.m., with the festival beginning at 4:00 p.m. with the Davis Brothers Band on the main stage. The Davis Brothers are Albany natives who released their first song this year, titled “What We’d Become.”

Shackelford County natives Matt Stapp and Jeff Martin will alternately perform acoustic sets in the VIP lounge starting at 5:00 p.m.

Also performing at 5:00 p.m. on the main stage is Slade Coulter.

Releasing his debut song in 2020, Coulter quickly gained a large following.

Jacob Stelly will follow Coulter at 6:00 p.m., and Kevin Fowler will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Stelly began his songwriting career while attending Texas A&M University in College Station and released his debut album, “University Heights,” in 2019.

Headlining stage two at 8:30 p.m. will be Giovannie and the Hired Guns.

Giovannie and the Hired Guns have a unique style that incorporates everything from Southern rock to Latin hip-hop.

Beginning as an acoustic project, the rock’n’roll Read Southall Band quickly gained popularity with the song “Why” reaching just under 18 million streams on Spotify.

They will close out the festival with a 10:00 p.m. performance on stage one.

The venue will close at 1:30 a.m.
